Behind the Board
dna-productions' mixing and mastering services are led by our head engineer, who has spent nearly 25 years mixing and 20 years mastering since graduating from the Audio Engineering program at The New School University. Mixing came first — building balance, depth, and emotion out of raw stems — and mastering followed as its own discipline a few years later, once his ear had been trained on how a finished mix actually needs to translate across every playback system.
We treat them as two different skill sets, not one service with two names. In that time he has mixed and mastered hundreds of albums for countless artists across nearly every genre — from intimate acoustic sessions to full-scale film and television scores. The result is a catalogue of releases that sound cohesive, warm, and radio-ready — without losing what makes each song distinct.

Every project — single, EP, or LP — is mixed and mastered individually and delivered entirely online. No sessions, no studio time to book, no travel. Pricing below is built to be accessible for independent artists; major labels and commercial projects should reach out for custom pricing.
Working from your raw, unprocessed stems to build the song — balance, EQ, compression, spatial placement, automation, and creative effects. This is where a song's arrangement, energy, and emotion actually get shaped.
A separate, final pass on a completed stereo mix — refining tonal balance, dynamics, and loudness so it translates consistently on earbuds, club systems, car speakers, and every streaming platform. It's quality control and polish, not a fix for an unfinished mix.
Because they require different ears and different tools, we price and scope them separately below — you can book either on its own, or bundle both at a discounted rate.

The Process

Your project is mixed and/or mastered by hand, track by track — no automated presets or one-size-fits-all processing.
We send back a reference version. Revisions are included so the final version matches your vision.
Final masters are delivered digitally in whatever format you need — streaming-ready, WAV, or broadcast spec.
